4 yr and 5 mo

Hard to believe but this weekend Gabe will be 5 months old. He's started on his table food and is a WONDERFUL eater. He doesn't push it back out and hasn't even made a face when trying new foods. He's mastered rolling from front to back to front, and if we put him down on a palette we can't walk away for any amount of time without coming back and him being half-way across the room. We're still not quite sitting on our own yet, but getting close! Enjoy the new pics!

Big brother finally got to go swimming in a "big" pool, and for the first time EVER actually let go of my hand and swam by him self (with life jacket and floaties, of course). I was so proud!

Gentry is still the best big brother I've ever seen. He asks on occasion to hold brother and is always super sweet and makes sure his baby brother (he calls "little buddy") is included in everything.

We are truly blessed!

I haven't had time to get the birthday pictures uploaded yet, but here's another picture from July 4th week. My youngest sister came over and I couldn't help but get some shots of her and the baby.

July 4th weekend

Hope you all had as wonderful a 4th of July holiday as we did. We ended up staying home all weekend and it was great! I did a little crafting and sewing as well as put together some new information for a Crafter's Cooperative (DUCK SOUP) but other than that we just played around and enjoyed the weekend.

Have you ever tried to explain the 4th of July to a 4 year old? I had the pleasure of that challenge this weekend and it was harder than I imagined. He came away thinking it was the birthday of our house. . . we'll just go with that for now and work on the "country" idea later. . .

I had to share this picture with you all (whom-ever "you all" might be). Gentry's eyes have always captured my soul. Not only because he's my son, but they've always amazed me scientifically also (but that's a long store, for another day). I just thought I'd share this picture with you all . . .

wouldn't you know it. . .

YEAH!! I ordered my camera today. . . after dear hubby (somewhat) repaired the old one last night. . . why, you ask didn't he fix it two months ago? Well he claims that I wouldn't let him, but my selective memory has kicked in and I don't remember telling him NOT to fix it. ANYWHO. . . the new camera is on its way (happy VERY early birthday to me) and we'll keep the old one for spare/extra/who-know's-what.

I did take the old one for a spin tonight. I've been missing having a camera in my hand. Here is on of the ones I took tonight I'll get more up this weekend.

Not many smiles out of the little one now days. He's been teething for almost a month and I realized last week that he's trying to "grow" two teeth at once. But this is his content face and it's one of my most favorite things in the world! enjoy!

Look for new pictures soon! Hubby came home and told me I could order my camera tomorrow! I'm one happy little girl!!!
